Rule for motives and acts

I believe in God and I believe in Jesus Christ. I learned from an early age to my religion there was a rule for motives and acts. I’ve always tried to live that way.

To defend oneself with lethal force were to defend those around us and the ones we love with lethal force should only be done without animosity and hatred. If those thoughts enter into your mind at any time during your defense or the defense of others that could be interpreted as murder.

Basically the rule says this: Neither animosity nor mere personal attachment should impel my motives or acts. Divine love alone governs man. I should always reflect the sweet amenities of love in rebuking all sin in charitableness forgiveness And brotherly kindness. I need to daily watch and pray to be delivered from all evil. From prophesyings judging condemning counseling influencing or being influenced erroneously.

This is not an easy task but when you go to defend others you have to do it for their protection and brotherly love. Sometimes a lesser evil is required to stop the greater evil.
